Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Ride Society ("Ride Society," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Ride Society mobile application (the "App") and our related services. Ride Society is based in San Diego, California, United States. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Who we are

Ride Society is an invite-only community app for car and motorcycle enthusiasts. The App is operated by Ride Society. You can reach us at officialridesociety@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

We have designed the App to collect as little personal information as possible. Specifically:

Account and access information. Membership in the App is invite-only. When you join, the App creates an anonymous account identifier for your device. You unlock access using an invite code or QR code provided by an existing approved member or an administrator. Regular members do not provide a name, email address, or password to use the App. Administrators sign in with an email address to manage the community.

Vehicle photo. As part of joining, you upload a photo of your car or motorcycle. This photo is reviewed by an administrator to confirm membership eligibility and may be associated with your member profile within the App.

Content metadata. Photos you upload may contain embedded metadata (for example, the time a photo was taken). We do not use this metadata to track your location.

Device and diagnostic information (collected automatically). To keep the App working, secure, and performant, we collect: a device/installation identifier generated by Google Firebase; app performance and diagnostic data through Firebase Performance Monitoring (such as load times, errors, and basic device and network characteristics); and device integrity signals through Firebase App Check and Google Play Integrity, used to confirm that requests come from a genuine, unmodified copy of the App.

Information we do NOT collect. The App does not request or access your device location, does not contain advertising, and does not use third-party advertising or analytics tracking SDKs.

3. How we use information

We use the information above to provide invite-only access and verify membership eligibility (including reviewing your vehicle photo); operate, maintain, secure, and improve the App; detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security issues; and communicate with administrators about community management.

4. How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising. We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, App Check, and Performance Monitoring) as our service provider to host and operate the App. See Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy and Firebase's data practices at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

Store tab. When you open the Store tab, the App loads our online store hosted on Shopify at officialridesociety.com. Any purchase or information you provide there is governed by the privacy policies of our store and Shopify, not this policy.

Social links. The App provides links that open our profiles on third-party platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. Those platforms are governed by their own privacy policies.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our members, the public, or Ride Society.

5. Data retention

We retain your anonymous account information and uploaded vehicle photo for as long as your membership is active. If your access is revoked, or if you request deletion, we delete or de-identify the associated data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations or to resolve disputes.

6. Your choices and data deletion

You may request deletion of your data, including your uploaded vehicle photo and associated account record, at any time by emailing officialridesociety@gmail.com. Because membership accounts are anonymous, please include information that helps us identify the device or membership in question.

7. Children's and teens' privacy

The App is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the App or provided information, please contact us at officialridesociety@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete it. For teen users (ages 13-17), we limit data collection to what is described in this policy and do not use their data for advertising or sell it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect information. Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS, access to our backend is restricted, and we use Firebase App Check and Google Play Integrity to limit access to genuine instances of the App. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To exercise your rights, contact us at officialridesociety@gmail.com.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
